Westside MMA Competition Team

Three gyms. No egos. Our Westside MMA Competition Team practices three mornings per week with NoGi Jiu-Jitsu and three mornings per week for Filipino Boxing and Muay Thai. Our Jiu-Jitsu instructors are black and brown belts. Our Muay Thai instructors include an instructor who is a student of the man who brought Muay Thai to the United States, Ajarn Chai.

Uniforms and Equipment

We have fundraised extensively for the majority of the equipment that we use in practices. We have practice gloves, thigh pads, belly pads, and Thai kick pads. We have a uniform that students can get once they reach certain levels of our training program. To see more on that, please check out this video:

Where will we compete?

For Jiu-Jitsu competitions, our students will compete in Fuji BJJ tournaments. For Muay Thai tournaments, we will compete in a mix of USA Muay Thai-sanctioned matches, IKF point sparring matches, and World Thai Boxing Association-sanctioned matches.
